Bassist Warren Sumner brings experience playing a wide variety of musical styles to Suicide Blonde. A 1994 graduate of East Carolina University, Sumner studied under reknowned jazz bassist Carroll Dashiell in route to earning a minor in Jazz Studies at ECU. A member of the popular Greenville quintet Mother Nature during the early 90s, Sumner toured the southeast region performing in clubs and at private functions until 1994, when he decided to take a break from music. A move to Raleigh in 1998 saw him join the long-standing club band "Bottom Line" for a 6-year stint that ended with the band, now known as "Sugar Daddy," entering an indefinite hiatus. Sumner has never strayed from his love of music and is excited about playing covers from the 80s...his favorite musical decade.
